Top Ten Tuesday: Books I would love to see as a TV show/movie

Top Ten Tuesday is an original meme created by The Broke and the Bookish for list addicts. This week’s list is…

Top Ten Books I would love to see as a TV show/movie

I read primarily urban fantasy, romance, mystery and steampunk and there are a lot of series that would make excellent movies or tv shows. I decided to restrict myself to urban fantasy and paranormal romance just to try to cut down the multitude of options. It is probably no great surprise that all of these series feature strong female protagonists. Here’s my list in no particular order:

1.  Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost – imagine Bones in 3d

2.  Sentinels of New Orleans by Suzanne Johnson – geeky wizard investigates supernatural ‘issues’

3.  Weird Girls series by Cecy Robson – the sisters all have different gifts so it could be a little like Charmed.

4.  Kitty Katt series by Gini Koch – hot aliens and evil beings trying to destroy the world

5.  White Trash Zombie series by Diana Rowland – braaains

6.  Transplanted Tales series by Kate SeRine – it would probably attract Grimm and Once Upon a Time fans

7.  Women of the Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong – obvious really

8.  Arcadia Bell series by Jenn Bennett – demons + mage = win

9.  Chicagoland Vampires by Chloe Neill – might pick up Vampire Academy fans

10. Alex Craft by Kalayna Price – Death and the fae

Love your list! We have one entry in common – The Weird Girls. I feel like this series is perfect for the big screen. And I almost put Transplanted Tales on my list because I loved Red so much. Great list!

    • Red is pretty awesome and you could easily have it as a tv series where each week she deals with Tales’ infractions and hunts down the baddie with Vlad as the overarching plot for season 1.

  2. LunaMoth

I have always wanted to know how White Trash Zombies was, we do need more zombie movies other than the resident evil movies.

    • The books are really cool. Angel gets a gold star for trying to turn her life around plus apparently brains taste like cookies and cream.

    • I’m definitely getting more sentimental about the Night Huntress series now I know it is ending. It would have to be a late night show though given Bones’ language and attitude.

  3. Huh okay, so I’m not familiar with any of these books so I guess we’re into different things. But I really like your reasonings for wanting these books to be movies/tv shows! I would definitely watch these. Thanks for stopping by!
