Feature & Follow: #171 Favourite Magazines

Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs! This week’s question is…

What are some of your favourite magazines?

I don’t actually read magazines (pause for ‘shock’, ‘horror’ & ‘gasp’ poses) except when I am at the hairdressers because I have my internet on constantly and I get my fix that way. I’d rather save the $7 and spend it on an e-book as I can get a few hours enjoyment out of that rather than 15-20 mins. I’m not alone as we’ve had a few magazines close down over the last few years in Australia because of declining readership.

I’m not completely irredeemable though as when I was in my late teens and early 20s I used to read quilting magazines for the patterns. I still have eight projects waiting in boxes for me to get my act together.

  1. LOL I love that you used to read quilting magazines, Vilia – and especially that you have unfinished projects. If I told you how many unfinished projects I have…I knit and a big portion of my craft room is taken up by yarn that I haven’t done anything with yet.

I don’t read magazines either, Vilia. I need a longer commitment with something I’m going to read. 😉

Happy Friday, dear! Enjoy your weekend!!

  2. [email protected] GREAT read

Yeah I’m not much for magazine reading either except in desperate times…ie: I left my book at home forgetting about a particular appointment where they have magazines in the waiting room!

But when I was a teen I did like the “teen” magazines myself.

    Here’s my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT weekend!

    Old Follower 🙂

  3. I doubt anyone will be shocked by your admission. I’ve been blog hopping all evening and I’d say the majority of book bloggers out there don’t read magazines at all or just rarely.
I do love my literary magazines but they’re kinda like miniature short story collections. So I don’t know if that even counts as proper magazine reading.

    Cheers, Katarina 🙂

PS. I’ll follow you via email. #FF
