October is actually a fairly quiet looking month for me. There aren’t that many books that I am salivating over which is probably a good thing as I’m still catching up on September reads. Just click on the book cover to go to Goodreads. Do you like the gimme, gimme, gimme hand trying to snatch new release books? I think it looks suitably creepy.

You know the drill by now. New month = new set of must have novels. These might not be the most popular new releases but they are ones that I think look pretty interesting. Lynsay Sands’ covers always look a little odd but this one takes the cake. Shudder. Just click on the book cover to go to Goodreads.
Lots of really interesting looking releases this month. We get the final instalment of Kristen Ashley’s Rock Chick series which is fairly bitter-sweet and the third in Suzanne Johnson’s Sentinels of New Orleans series. I adore Kate SeRine’s series so I’m really excited to see her latest out as well. The final in the Reluctant Reaper rolls out as well – I’ll be fairly disappointed if the demonic stapler doesn’t make another appearance as it was what set everything off in the first place.
There are a stack of paranormal mysteries, urban fantasy and romances that look absolutely awesome. Click on the cover to add to Goodreads. When it rains, it pours and I can’t wait to dive into Melissa Bourbon’s next as well as try out Max McCoy’s wild west paranormal mystery (try saying that three times fast). Things are also heating up urban fantasy wise so if you like zombies or weres or vamps then you have a few options. I’ve only ever read Kerrelyn Sparks’ Love at Stake series so I’m not sure how she is going to go with a […]
I’ve been far more conservative this time round as I’m still working my way through the May releases. It seems to really be a case of feast or famine for me when it comes to releases, especially the romances. There are other mystery and steampunk novels I really want to read but I need to start with the first in the series otherwise I’ll spend half my time wondering what the characters have been getting up to without my knowledge.
There are quite a few books coming out this month from authors I adore and the final of the Sookie Stackhouse series Dead Ever After by Charlaine Harris. This series has steadily got worse and I’m afraid it is going to go out with a whimper rather than a bang. You know how people slow down when they drive by a traffic accident and aren’t really sure whether to commit to find out what happened or have a really quick glimpse before their eyes are back on the road? I’m not sure whether I can bring myself to read it and have my worst fears confirmed […]
