This is probably one of the most exciting release months this year with goodies galore.
A pretty light month this time round but that’s okay because August is literally littered with goodies.
There is a surfeit of books this month in the romance department that is putting the other genres to shame. I even weeded out some interesting romance titles because I was embarrassed at just how many there were.
Another month and another set of monthly must haves…this time with a focus primarily on the paranormal.
There are all sorts of bits and bobs coming out this month. I’m incredibly excited about the new A.A. Aguirre novel as I love the way the husband/wife team built up their world. Things are going to be a little hectic reading wise as the books I have my eye on seem to be released on either the first of April or the 29th. Pity me for my first world problems in having to choose which cool looking book to read first 🙂
Hmm. There isn’t much happening on the steampunk front that caught my eye but there are quite a few paranormal romances that look good. It also seems to be the month for humour with both Mur Lafferty’s new novel and Shelly Laurenston’s new Pride.
This feels like a fairly light month. I know that Chloe Neill’s latest is coming out but I’ve let that series slip by the wayside since book 5 and can’t really get the energy to pick it up again. I am really interested in the new Lynn Viehl book though having read both parts of her first book. I love the detail that she has gone into in creating her world so easing back into it should be fantastic. I saw the latest Hannah Swenson mystery by Joanne Fluke on NetGalley and had to request it to see what Hannah […]
No steampunks that I’m really hanging out for which is a shame but given the glut of romance novels it isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I’m still reading books from December so I need some wiggle room. There are a few new series starting that look cool like Jenn Bennett’s Bitter Spirits and Tessa Dare’s Romancing the Duke and some old favourites like Diana Rowland’s Kara Gillian series and Cecy Robson’s Weird Girls series. This month also marks the end of the Night Huntress series which will be a bit sad as Halfway to the Grave was one of the first paranormal romance […]
The first week of November is going to be crazy busy. I’m ashamed to admit that many of the entries are simply on here because the cover or the plot sounds cool. Take Gossamer Wing for example – I’ve never heard of the author before but the idea of dirigibles and espionage sounds great. I like the cover of Resnick’s The Misfortune Cookie an awful lot but this is the sixth novel in the series so I might just add it to my TBR pile and start at the beginning.
