Sunday Post #27

Sunday Post #27

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Ever had one of those weeks where everything just seems to go right? I had one and it scared the heck out of me. I suffer from a healthy dose of paranoia and all I could think was that someone was trying to lure me into a false sense of security before striking me down.

I somehow managed to get a close car park every time, got surprised with a free hot chocolate voucher at work with promises of more, my aloof cat snuggled up every night, read some great books, an author stopped by my blog, had a really boring meeting cancelled at the last minute so I could go home early and I even scored minties because apparently I’m awesome. The list goes on and on but you get the idea. Oh, and did I mention that tomorrow is a public holiday?

    • I’m just waiting for the sword of Damocles to cut me down. Guidebook to Murder was pretty good. Only irritating bit was the main character spending the whole novel wondering if the guy she has a crush on is actually single or married…without bothering to ask him.

  2. My policy for good luck is when you have it…just run with it! Haha, you never know how long it’ll last, but I’m glad you had such an awesome week!
I totally love your haul! It Happened One Wedding & Grim Shadows were both awesome reads for me! I’m so excited for How to School Your Scoundrel! Hope you enjoy, can’t wait to hear your thoughts on them!

    • I just have to sit down and write the darn reviews up. Every time I try to focus on Grim Shadows I start fangirling over Lowe. It’s quite distracting 😉

  3. Occasionally I have week where everything goes right but I just figure it balances out everything that goes wrong so I don’t worry about it! I love the sound of the Antiques Roadshow Challenge and will be looking for something similar next year. What fun! Great reading this week! I enjoyed Guidebook to Murder and Grim Shadows is on my wishlist. Have a great week!

    • The Antique Roadshow has been fun. I’m eyeing off yet another thought for when I finish it. The new one is about the messages you can send through flowers which looks pretty retro.
