Sunday Post #1

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. I’ve decided to turn my Weekly Wrap-up into a Sunday Post just cause…

I’m ashamed to admit that I have exhausted my stash of reviews as I am trying to stretch what I have done over the first week of my holidays. Only 5 more days to go! I have been scrambling to write more but with so many shiny books to read, I got sidetracked. I’ve read over 200 books this year now which is pretty cool but I’m aiming for 250.

I have been slowly scaling back my reviewing commitments. When I first started the blog I was reviewing 10 books a week just to get some content on the site. I pulled that down to 7 and then down to 5. I would rather underestimate what I can do than over estimate. 4-5 a week is feasible given my work and study commitments.

Challenges

It sounds really naughty but I want to nail a nun for the challenge…I just want to see her all dolled up. Oh dear, that sounds even worse. I reckon I can read a few romantic suspense novels to knock of the military ones and probably some cowboy romances to get the rodeo clown and rider. The nun however presents a little more of a challenge.

  1. Wow 200 books, that’s fantastic! I’ve only read about 118 if you count all the graphic novels and novellas. I really hope you get caught up on reviews, I’m struggling with the same situation right now and it’s rough. I hope you have a good week and good luck with finding your nun! :p

    • Thank you, I will get her somehow and someway. I’m going to trawl the In Uniform thread on Goodreads to see if anyone else found one and maybe read the same book.

  2. Wow 200 books! I’m still working on my first 100 and you’re gunning for 250. Super jealous, wish I could read that fast. Love your reviews for Delia’s Shadow and Vampires Need Not…Apply? OH and I love your comment about a nun uniform change, that would be great (and I’m sure someone must have written it by now!) Have a great week!

    • I know and it probably wasn’t the smartest thing to read them all in a row because they are so light and fluffy. At least I could follow the overarching plot though.

  3. I am pushing for 250 as well, my goal was 200 and it has come and gone. I hope you reach 250..and with 3 months to go I am sure you will blow it out of the water. I loved the Truth About Lord Stoneville and look forward to your review, and I am curious about the paranormal ones too! Thanks for sharing your edition of the Sunday Post!

Whoa! 200 already? I’m on 173 which would have been higher but drama at home kept me from reading much this summer good for you! Welcome to the Sunday Post! Looks like you had a busy week on the blog and got lots of reading done. I hope you have another amazing week!
Thanks for stopping by my Sunday Post!

    • 173 is still pretty impressive. I’m hoping to get a little more reading done on my holidays – 4 days to go. Does that sound desperate?
