Review: Nerd Gone Wild by Vicki Lewis Thompson

Review: Nerd Gone Wild by Vicki Lewis Thompson

Ally cares more about honing her photography skills than the large fortune that her grandmother bequeathed her, especially since the fortune comes with a very nerdy personal assistant (Mitchell Carruthers). She escapes to the wilds of Alaska to take photos of wolves and receive one-on-one tutoring from a professional photographer. Mitchell was actually hired as a Private Investigator and bodyguard but was forced to don a nerdy guise by Ally’s grandmother. He is determined to protect her from foes and herself.

Human Luke Dalton inherited a werewolf business in a poker match but he doesn’t have much time to enjoy his win as his sister Giselle runs off with his enemy Bryce Landry. He decides to team up with Bryce’s sister Giselle to find the wayward pair more quickly. Unfortunately the book is not as interesting as the premise.

Review: Werewolf in Denver by Vicki Lewis Thompson

Review: Werewolf in Denver by Vicki Lewis Thompson

I enjoyed Werewolf in Denver more than the last offering Werewolf in Seattle but it felt a bit uneven and sillier. This time we have two werewolf bloggers who are diametrically opposed to each other. Kate Stillman, founder of Honouring of Werewolf Legacy (HOWL), is set to take on Duncan MacDowell, founder of Werewolves Optimising Our Future (WOOF) who is a fan of inter-species mating at a werewolf convention. The premise of this was the strongest of all – why shouldn’t werewolves turn to social media just like their human counterparts.

Review: Werewolf in Seattle by Vicki Lewis Thompson

Review: Werewolf in Seattle by Vicki Lewis Thompson

The Wild About You series breaks with tradition and features a half-breed heroine and pack leader rather than a human heroine and a werewolf but it still has the same cute and humorous vibe. Colin McDowell is a Scottish werewolf who inherits not only a mansion but an island from his Aunt Geraldine. Thinking it is too difficult to manage from afar given his responsibilities as pack alpha, he is determined to sell the place. Well, determined at least until he meets his aunt’s charming sidekick, Luna (snicker).  The racial/species stereotyping rears its ugly head again which is getting […]

Review: Werewolf in the North Woods by Vicki Lewis Thompson

Review: Werewolf in the North Woods by Vicki Lewis Thompson

Werewolf in the North Woods is another cute and fun read just like its predecessor except there is more sex and sasquatch. Abby Winchell’s grandfather Earl reckons he has seen two bigfoot and he has taken some very blurry images to prove it. The locals have invited big-shot anthropologist and secret werewolf Roark Wallace to investigate the claims. Abby is pretty protective of her grandfather and tries to help him find better proof. Roark meanwhile wants to relocate the sasquatch before there can be any verified sightings as there is a werewolf pack nearby whose jaunts could be […]
