Short Review – just read it! Long Review – in case the short review wasn’t long enough, here is a little more detail. Celia Wird and her sisters just saved their town and it is time to do it all over again. The story starts oddly enough with an exploding wereraccoon which is a pretty clear sign that things are getting weird again. Demons are in town and supes are killing each other.

The Weird Girls is an effective appetiser for the main meal Sealed with a Curse. As a prequel novella as it introduces our four heroines, showcases their kick-ass capabilities and drives home their strong bond. The four girls’ supernatural natures were the result of a curse that backfired. I would have loved to see them getting used to their powers but in this novella, they are fully functioning.
Sealed with a Curse is a fun addition to the paranormal romance genre. On face value this book may seem full of this genre’s most annoying tropes – love triangle involving a werewolf and a vampire? Check. A powerful heroine who is one of a kind? Check. Insta-love? Check. However this book is far more than the sum of its parts.
